imaginative artwork or practical outcomes fit for use in their intended situation.

a variety of construction materials and painting media including the use of digital
graphics and computer aid design.
To work safely using a range of tools, processes and equipment as appropriate.
Satisfy all requirements of the National Curriculum for both Art & Design and Design
& Technology at Key Stage 3. This will be achieved through the study of a variety of
carefully planned learning experiences.
Descriptions of courses:
At Key Stage 3 pupils work with a wide variety of material and media in specialist
rooms. Our learning experiences are designed to introduce many new skills, develop
creative ability and encourage innovation and imagination.
At Key Stage 4 pupils can opt to extend their capability in both Art and D&T,
working towards a
GCSE qualification by the end of Year 11. Pupils may choose as many as two from the
list above. In some circumstances pupils may wish to study additional courses, after
discussion with the Area Leader.
