Curriculum – Religious Education
Vision
Our vision is to enable students to make the most of their potential for the greater glory of God. We want our students to be respectful of all faith traditions and also to feel secure that they can express their own beliefs. We instil a respect of the Catholic faith in our world today and allow opportunities to both study and worship this tradition. We want our young people to contribute to outreach within the wider community and to establish positive relationship skills for life.
Department Virtue
Our virtue is to be prayerful.
This means that our students will feel comfortable in taking an active part in prayer, raising intentions and following traditional worship. We instil a sense of community through the dedicated time that is devoted to praying in every R.E lesson. We also encourage students to reflect on their own spiritual journey and to take time to reflect on the lives of others.
