Government guidelines- Covid
Dear Parents / Carers,
Just to clarify, if your child has symptoms they should get a PCR test as per government guidelines. If your child tests positive on a lateral flow without symptoms they do not need a PCR test. The day of a positive lateral flow or positive PCR test is day 0 and each day after that then should be counted.
If your child tests negative on the morning of day 5 and then on the morning of day 6 (24 hours after the day 5 test) they can then return to school. If they are still testing positive they should continue to isolate and continue to test and return when they have had 2 negative lateral flow tests or at the end of their isolation period.
When ringing in to inform us of your child’s covid related absence please let us know the date of their positive test and when day 6 will be for their earliest possible return date for our records.
Thank you as always for your support.
