Year 7 Welcome Back Letter

29 April 2022

Dear Parent

Welcome back to a new term.  I hope that you had a restful Easter break and that you managed to spend some time with your family. It’s hard to believe that now we are in the summer term and soon we will be welcoming Year 6 students into College ready for their September start with us – time is flying by so quickly!

I look forward to your continued support with maintaining high standards of uniform. This is one of the ways that we ensure high standards are upheld in College. If you have any queries about this, please refer to the uniform policy on the College website. Also, a reminder about mobile phones in school – if your child brings a phone to school, it is their responsibility to ensure that it is switched off and in their bags during the school day.

It was fantastic to see all of the fundraising that was taking place in College before Easter. Year 7 raised almost £900 for charity with an array of imaginative activities. Thank you for your support with this, the students really enjoyed it.

Here are a few dates for your diary this term:

Friday 27 May – Students finish for half term, returning on Monday 6 June.

W/c Monday 6 June – Year 7 assessment week.

Wednesday 6 July – Curriculum planning afternoon – students finish at 1.35pm.

Tuesday 12 July – Sports Day.

Thursday 21 July – Students finish for summer holidays.

Further details about all of these dates will be sent to you in due course.

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact tutors, subject teachers or myself so that we can work together to support your children.  I thank you for your continued support, which is always very much appreciated.

 Yours sincerely

Mrs Jones

Head of Year 7
